BODYBALANCE® 49 REVIEW

Track 1

Extraordinary Ways - Conjure One

Track 1 begins the class with a massive sweeping track. Jackie has incorporated new moves into this track and a return of the archer pose from previous releases. There are massive arms swings in this track. The arm swings are hard for new people to do. to fully let loose and experience the pose for someone new is hard. There is a wonderful new pose in this track. Dr Dave does this track on the DVD for this release. It is a duo release with Jackie Mills and Dave McKenzie presenting.

Track 2

Send Me An Angel - Sleepthief feat Kristy Thirsk

Wonderful track, 4 sets of sun salutations in this release. This track is the highlight of the release. The track reminds me in parts of 14,15 and Bodybalance 16 in parts. Dramatic moves and flowing choreography.

Track3

Live Like We're Dying - Kris Allen

This track is a fast track 3. There are two parts to the track. I got lost in the music with this track and pretty much the choreography is a blur. The track is a legs standing strength track. Tons of wide leg moments, which means lots of quad work and going deeper in the pose each week. I love this track.

Track4

To Love Again - I'Image

This to me is one of two show case songs from the release. To me this is the best track 4 in the 40's series of Bodybalance. It is a short track where you immerse yourself into the Eagle Poses and the balance sequence of the track. Love the poses not complicated to learn which allows me to immerse myself into the track and enjoy the music and emotion of the track. Loved this track and hope to hear more or l'Image in the future releases of Bodybalance.

Track 5

Fireflies - Original Fire

Loved the cover version of this track. More so that the one by the original singers. The cover versions we have are I feel better than the originals. We have the return of firefly pose. I thought great like Crusin from Bodybalance 13. It is a slightly different in this release. We go into several fast poses in this release. There are a few modified poses in this release. We end the track with an awesome new pose. It is a fast track in parts the track fits well with Track 4 and 5 make an awesome combination.

Track 6

Don't Mean Anything - Alicia Keys

This is a hard track tons of side poses hitting the obliques and the stability work. Then we have an awesome abdominal stabilizer sequence in this release. The release also works the transverse abdominus at the end of the track. Loved the joining of the poses from side ab work to working the transverse muscles. Nice work Jackie on this track.

Track 7

Just Say Yes - The Cranials

Track 7 is a hard back track in parts. For those who love challenges in a back track this is one of those releases. There are three athletic sections in the release. There are two challenging poses in this track. I managed to do the back bend pose :) that has been a real bug bear of mine for years.

Track 8

Happy - Leona Lewis

A short track one of the shortest track 8's I can honestly remember. However, being short does not make it less harder to get into each twist pose. Love the last 1/2 of this track. I love intense pose.

Track 9

White Flag - Pisolet

Wow (This is now my all time favorite track ever in Bodybalance)

Loved every single part of this track.  Tons of wide leg poses, and lots of hamstring work. Loved the beginning of this track. Jackie intro's a new pose into this track. I can honestly say this track is awesome. The poses in this track flow perfectly. Awesome work Jackie.

Meditiation - Gift of Light - Nadama - Shastro

A shorter meditation track. This is now my favorite meditation track in the 40's series of Bodybalance. The PPCA Free version I feel is better than the original in Bodybalance 50 PPCA.

Presented by: Dr Jackie Mills and Dr David McKenzie

Choreographed by: Dr Jackie Mills and Diana Mills

May 2010 2nd Quarter

PPCA Free Version of this Release:

By now the world know we have a 100% cover version of this release. My review is on the PPCA free version of this release. The main reason is that we now have two versions of the release and all I can review is the PPCA Free releases from now on. We won't get to hear the originals anymore I welcome anyone who want to review the PPCA version of this release.

I must admit I love the PPCA Free version of Bodybalance 49. We have the original release here and I guess I don't miss the original at all. I was surprised about that.

If you get to Australia, ask to have a class with the PPCA Free version of this release. You won't regret it all all.

In two weeks we will have Bodybalance 50. Looking forward to this release and begins the 50's series of this epic program we call Bodybalance/Bodyflow.

The epic journey continues!

REVIEW OF BODYBALANCE 49

I am posting back here after a long absence. It has been a long time since I have played attention to this site and I guess with work and also a hectic life I have not been able to post here. This week I am writing a review of Bodybalance 49.

This has been a remarkable release not only our first release which is PPCA free and 100% cover versions of the tracks in this release.

Track 9 is White Flag is now my favorite track 9 ever in Bodybalance. It is a wonderful song and an awesome remake of the massive hit by Dido.

Dido is now recording her 4th CD as we speak.

Now I have to put pen to paper and write a review of now my all time favorite release ever. The PPCA free release of Bodybalance 49!

SIZZLER BODYBALANCE 50 - BODYBLANCE TURNS 50 RELEASES!

BODYBALANCE® is turning 50 and it's never been better with a sublime blend of music and choreography that takes you deep into the Yoga experience.

Sade warms things up in Track 1 as we ease through a series of simple moves to the deep tribal feel of Soldier Of Love. Standing Strength will have you stretching to new limits with a reworked expression of the Warrior 1 stretch – the Lateral Bend. Fortunately, old favorites The Script are on hand to help make anything seem possible with their track Breakeven. We're joining the stars of "Avatar" for Track 4 and it's not just Leona Lewis' uplifting song I See You that's courtesy of the award-winning movie.

Jackie Mills has also played with the themes, and references the story of the Navi in the choreography. Track 4 introduces Ujjayi Breathing which is new to BODYBALANCE® but a fundamental practice in Yoga. Imagine your throat narrowing as you use the technique to release stress and calm your body. The two Core Tracks get straight to the point and are focused on what they do best – working the abdominals and back – before Please Don't Stop The Rain leads us into a Down Dog Twist in Track 8. This is an advanced move but give it a try. The feeling you get when you master this is incredible – you're grounded on one arm and get a beautiful twist through the spine.

There's plenty of drama in the Forward Bends – with a dramatic move to match – and then the emotion of The Bliss' track, 100 Thousand Dancers, provides the perfect bridge into the final Relaxation.
